Elise is very much a woman in a man’s world, she isn’t the stereotypical Victorian lady.
But, now that I have discovered this wonderful series, I can’t wait to read more of the very ‘improper ladies and if this gem is anything to go by, then I know I am in for a very wicked ride.Įlise is easily one of the best heroines I have come across in a book for such a long time, she is incredible and I am so wanting more Elise’s within the historical romance world, she is a breath of fresh air in a genre that is so full of wallflowers and aristocrats. I don’t know how the Ladies of Impropriety series has passed me by for so long, I think it’s another case of me walking around in my bubble oblivious of the world around me. Oh, my goodness, how much do I love this book?Ĭan I just take a moment and mention the cover, isn’t it beautiful? The cover model portrays Elise perfectly, this cover is exactly how I say Elise in my mind while reading.
